You can even watch those matches that have the infamous  ‘3pm kick off’ tag on them. As mentioned before as well, iFollow is able to stream even those messages which are exclusively streamed on channels such as Sky Sports. There are many other sites that you can unlock with NordVPN including US Netflix and BBC iPlayer. The only thing we suggest that you keep in mind is that if it doesn’t work the first time around then try to connect to a different VPN server in a different country. Our research shows that sometimes, the initial country that the user connects to is unable to work with iFollow for some reason.

Alternative best VPN for iFollow.

Some of our readers might have already seen this coming, but there are other VPN services not named NordVPN that work with iFollow as well. In fact, we are sure that if one were to spend a bit of time researching, then there may be hundreds of such VPN services. The important thing that you need to remember here is that, even though there are many VPN service providers in the market today (almost too many), not all of them are good. Or even legitimate.

In other words, not all VPNs are created exactly equal.

Hence, there are a ton of VPN services that are good for security but now for unblocking iFollow machines. There are also those VPN services that pass all of your data to another location via their servers but are so slow that it is not worth it to purchase their service for the purposes of video streaming. Such VPN services give you nothing but slow speeds and lots of buffering while your playback content.

These are just some of the reasons why we recommend that users should always sign up for NordVPN when they want to stream content from various online services. Our research is very thorough and very clear. NordVPN is pretty much the best there is. With that said, we are aware of the fact that our readers may want to have more options. If that is the case with you then these are the VPN services that you can use if you can’t get a hold of NordVPN.

If you want to sign up for NordVPN from the official website right now then you can do so by

The actual process of signing up with NordVPN or any other VPN service and then using the service to unblock iFollow is pretty much the same.

Why can’t you view iFollow matches in the UK?

There are many reasons for that. What you need to know is that previously, iFollow was nothing but a service that football fans used to watch football (obvious!) abroad. This service allowed them to keep up to date with the latest happenings from League One, League Two and the Championship. In fact, the season 2018-2019 is actually the first time ever that iFollow is actually allowing viewers in the UK to get some games.

Now, viewers within the UK can easily watch live streams of all of their most preferred football lower league games and teams via nothing but the iFollow streaming service. However, there is one important distinction that we would like to mention here. At the time of writing this guide, iFollow did allow full access to its streams to overseas viewers.

But it did not extend the same privilege to viewers who live in the UK.

The service has actually put a restriction on viewers from the UK to only a few games. Moreover, viewers in the UK cannot watch a single game on channels such as Sky. Apart from that, UK viewers also cannot stream any football game that may fall within the infamous ‘3pm kick-off’ rule.

This rule includes all the football machines that are scheduled to kick off between 2:45 pm and 5:15 pm. The iFollow service also does not allow UK viewers to have access to matches that may fall on a public holiday or bank holiday.

As you can probably tell, if you are living in the UK and want to watch football via iFollow then you will have to miss a ton of games. Fortunately, if you have access to a VPN service like NordVPN then you will never have to miss another football game any given day let alone a public holiday. With a VPN service, you will have access to all that iFollow has to offer to the whole world.

Conclusion on how to watch iFollow football matches and unblock iFollow service.

As mentioned at the top as well, our research shows that iFollow is pretty much the best streaming service for users who want to stream football matches that belong to the lower leagues. The iFollow streaming service is indeed available to everyone in the UK and it does allow them to watch some games with ease.

You can theoretically watch all of your favorite lower league teams live and online.

However, if you are in the UK then you will also have to deal with iFollow blocking any of the football matches for you. If you are in the UK and are relying on iFollow to watch lower league games then you will be disappointed because you will have to miss a lot of football games.

In order to avoid all this iFollow platform mess, you should sign up for a VPN service like NordVPN.

If you want to sign up for NordVPN right here and right now from the official website and that too at a discount to unlock everything on iFollow, then

After purchasing a package, you must download the official NordVPN app on your streaming device and then install it. When that is done simply connect to a server that is not located in the United Kingdom.

Such places include Russia and the Netherlands. Our recommendation is to first connect to the Netherlands and then connect to Russia by using NordVPN’s Double VPN option. After you have done that, nothing can stop you from watching all the lower league football matches that other UK viewers cannot see via iFollow. Such games include the ones that have the tag of ‘3pm kick-off’ beside them.

With NordVPN you can watch all such matches and also watch matches on Sky Sports and the ones that take place on public holidays, bank holidays, and much much more.

FAQ

Why can't I watch live video streams of some matches and only get audio commentary?

People living in the UK and Ireland can view English football audio commentary of those teams that iFollow service does not cover. Keep in mind that iFollow service only shows live match coverage for those teams that play in the English Football League. That can change from season to season. So instead of not offering anything on teams, it does not show live match coverage of, iFollow does the next best thing and gives you the audio commentary of those matches whose live stream or streams, you can’t access.

Of course, clubs can offer live video streams on their own official club websites or ask iFollow to be included in its list of covered teams.

  1. Hi thanks for the article. Really useful. Interested to see you mention double server. I tried using nord yesterday for ifollow (before reading your article) and used one server and it didn’t work. Just wondering if you had heard anything since writing the article about ifollow being able to block more now? Thanks simon

    • Hi Simon.
      Thanks for the comment.
      NordVPN should work with iFollow.
However, it is almost impossible to say if a given VPN service would with a given streaming service on a given day.
You should check with their customer support.
      NordVPN works with Netflix.
And if it works with Netflix, you can be confident that it will work with iFollow as well.

We have searched for this and could not find a definitive answer.
In any such cases, it is wise to not assume anything that goes in your favor.

    • Hi Anon. Thanks for the comment.
All you have to do is to go to ifollow’s official website after changing your location with a VPN.
What part of it is not clear?

  2. According to ifollow terms and conditions your subscription has to have a bank account with an address in the same territory that you are watching outside of the UK. So if using a VPN server in the Netherlands you also need a bank account to pay for the subscription in the Netherlands.
    Is that necessary ??

      Thanks for the comment.
Well, you can sign up for a VPN and use the money-back guarantee period to check if the VPN is able to bypass these requirements. If the VPN does not, just cancel without losing any money.
Sometimes, you can find people on sites like Fiverr who can get you bank account details for a particular country as well.
