First, I couldn’t download the eurosport player to my android tablet even when connected by vpn. It didn’t work at all on my iphone. Second, not all browsers, or all computers, worked consistently. One laptop, a somewhat old HP, basically couldn’t handle it unless really close to the router and even then it would freeze up and I’d have to restart it. My desktop only worked with chrome, not firefox or explorer. A new dell xps laptop…worked great. So equipment and browsers matter.
I’m going to Europe this summer and will bring my tablet and of course iphone with me and hope that it downloads and will run once back in the States.

Since video content now comes in resolutions of up to 4K, older machines simply cannot handle that.

I have the same problem as Nitsa, I can’t install the Eurosport app in Australia because the app is not available. I can’t change the location on my ipad to England and I can’t find a app in the appelstore that can do that. Can you please help.The VPN is working fine and I have a subscription.

Has Eurosport caught onto this? I have a had a subscription from outside the UK using this method for two years now, and I told my friend about it. He signed up for a VPN, but Eurosport would not process his US credit card. I noticed the credit card I have on file for my subscription is expired, so I tried to update with new info and I continue to get an “Unexpected Error” message.

It seems now the Eurosport app does require a location check.
There are many apps on Google Play Store that can spoof GPS location as well.
It is impossible to subscribe Eurosport player from India. They are not accepting Indian Credit card,VISA or Mastercard. VPN works perfect but then it is useless. I have to ask my friend in Uk to subscribe for me using his credit card and my Log in!

Why are you linking to the Kodi Nerds repo-master (which is several GB) instead of directly to the eurosport addon zip file here https://github.com/kodinerds/repo/blob/master/plugin.video.eurosport/plugin.video.eurosport-1.1.0.zip which is only a few hundred KB?!

VPNs do not work. Eurosport looks to your payment info and it must be a bank or cc company within the Eurosport license area. Hence, a US based credit card will not work.

How smart are ‘Smart TVs’ ?
I am thinking if a smart tv can use NORD and a player account exists could it find it?
Just a thought as I can’t afford to dedicate my computer to a UK vpn as too many essential services I use cannot cope, they have to be accessed from Australian vpn. Equally, I can’t afford a Smart TV just to try the idea. If it could work then I am prepared to make the investment.

Well, we don’t think a Smart TV has much to do with censoring content. If a service is able to extract your location from your device, it can block your access to any content whether or not your Smart TV is ‘really smart’ or just ‘smart’.
Generally speaking, Smart TVs are not worth the money, if that is what you are asking.
On another note, a good VPN app should let you switch between Australian and UK VPN servers pretty easily.
That way you will not have to suspend some of the services that you mentioned in your comment.
